Mitochondrial Pair (MOTS-c + SS-31)

Performance

Components

Rationale

Two mitochondrial peptides with complementary proposed mechanisms: MOTS-c (mitochondrial-derived, AMPK/exercise-mimetic signaling) and SS-31 (cardiolipin-binding inner-membrane stabilizer). The stack logic is coverage: nuclear-encoded signaling plus membrane-level protection.

Evidence level

SS-31 is one of the most-trialed mitochondrial peptides (phase 2/3 programs ran real human doses). MOTS-c has early human studies at 5–10 mg weekly. The pair together: never studied. Community doses of SS-31 typically run well below trial doses.

Caution

Two unapproved peptides in one syringe schedule means two unknowns sharing a risk budget. The evidence-graded version: zone 2 cardio and resistance training deliver the same mitochondrial stimulus with the trials already run.
